Spring Photo Contest - Free Sessions and Portraits

Would you love to receive free portraits

of your children or pets?

Then you do not want to miss this!

Grace Scott Photography and Fur People Photography, both of Defiance, are joining together to bring you twice the photos, twice the prizes and twice the talent for your portraits.
On Mother's Day, 10 winners (5 children and 5 pet sessions) will be chosen from all of the entries. Each of the winners will receive a portrait session (on location or at our temporary studio) and a $50 print credit to purchase portraits from your session.
But that's not it!
A photo from each session will be posted online on our web-site and the public (that means your family and friends) will vote for their favorite child and pet photo. The top prize is a 16 X 20 portrait!
Register today by emailing me your name, address, phone #, ages of your children and/or your pets names to gracescottphotography@gmail.com.
Sessions must take place prior to June 1 and be within 20 miles of Defiance. Out of town customers are encouraged to enter. If you win, you may travel to Defiance to our temporary studio or to one of the many great on location sites in our community for your session.

Making Memorable Christmas Photos

If anyone knows how to make their children crazy when it comes to holiday photos it is me.

My push for perfection and the best photos possible makes them cringe the moment they see my camera in my hand, but it doesn't have to be that way.

This year when trying for the "perfect" Christmas photo, shoot for imperfection. That's right, capture your children and family doing what they love - decorating the tree, making cookies, reading the Christmas story. Posed shots at great, but if you are looking for images to remember, think about your traditions and capture those elements.

The past few month Grace Scott Photography has kept me busy. I hope you enjoy some of the new photos I've uploaded. It's not too late to plan your Christmas setting. I've also started capturing a new element that I love, maternity photos. This is a great memento of your pregnancy and a great way to capture "baby" before he or she arrives. We will be following up the "R" Baby Maternity shoot with photos of the baby wrapped in ribbon as soon as he, or she, arrives in January.
